Amazing night selfie of Curiosity on Mars

Dear readers and followers,

The NASA rover, Curiosity is still exploring the land of the red planet, and it continue to take some pictures and panorama.

NASA finds the largest know galaxy called El Gordo with the Hubble telescope



The NASA team using data from Hubble Space Telescope has weighed the largest known galaxy cluster in the distant universe, catalogued as ACT-CL J0102-4915, but its nickname is El Gordo which means "the fat one" in Spanish.

Amazing panoramic picture of the milky way taken in the Mountains of New Hampshire

The picture has been built with 15-shot panoramic image north of Franconia Notch State Park, N.H. on July 2013. The photographer used a Nikon D3s camera, Nikon 14-24mm lens at 15mm, exposure 22 seconds x 15, f/2.8 and ISO 2500, to capture the photo.

Amazing video of Bulgaria night sky

A whole night at Rozhen National Astronomical Observatory, Bulgaria in September 2010. 
The frames are taken each 25 seconds. The video combines 764 individual images with a Canon 40 D camera with 20mm Sigma lenses at F/1.8.

Amateur photography of the Flame and Horsehead Nebulae

The picture has been done with Celestron CG5 GoTo mount, Skywatcher ED80 Refractor and Canon 1100D. This was 50 images at ISO 6400 and 50 seconds, then another 15 images at ISO1600 and 50 seconds. All stacked with Deepskystacker

Conjunction of triple planets : Jupiter, Venus and Mercury

Dear follower,

yesterday night, a rare spectacular event happened: people all around the word could see 3 planets in the sky in same time: Jupiter, Venus and Mercury.

This kind of event is very rare; actually the last time it happened was in May 2011 and it won't happen again until October 2015.
For people who could not see it I will propose you some picture taken by fans and a video:

The Moon's phases



The different shapes, with which emerge the Moon, during its lunar month, called the Moon's phases. The phases are due the illuminated moon's hemisphere the Sun.




The mainly phases of moon are:
1/ New Moon :
It's the phase, the Moon is hard to be seen. Actually, during the days which start the phenomenon of the new Moon, the Sun and the Moon rise and set almost concurrently.
2/ First Quarto :
Seven days and nine hours later, we can see the half part of the Moon, because it shifts eastward. In this phase, the Sun sets, when the moon is in position spuaring and culminates.
3/ Full Moon :
After seven days and nine hours, too, the moon becomes a full tray. During this phase, we are able to admire the phenomenon of full moon, because it is in opposition
4/ Last Quarto :
Seven days and nine hours after the full moon, the moon comes in the last phase. During this phase, the Moon is in squaring and rise at midnight.
