Successful launch of the space mission Expedition 39 in Soyuz TMA-12M to ISS

Dear readers and followers,

yesterday night, three new crew members, the Russian Cosmonauts Aleksandr Skvortsov and Oleg Artemyev and the NASA astronaut Steven R. Swanson blasted off into Space tonight  at 21:17 UTC in the TMA-12M spacecraft onboard the space rocket Soyuz-FG from the Russian Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The new crew, will dock to the International Space Station 6 hours after their launch and join the current crew members already onboard. Their mission on ISS will take around 6 months. Find below the video of the take-off.

Update: Due to a failure, the spacecraft has to change the docking process to ISS. The spacecraft will use the previous standard process for the docking which needs to make 34 orbits of Earth. Stay tuned

Successful launch of Proton-M rocket with Russian AT1 and AT2 communication satellites

Dear readers and followers,


2 days ago, the space rocket, Proton-M was ready on its launch pad at Baikonur, Kazakhstan. The payload was two satellites of communication, built for the Russian Satellite Communications Company Express AT1 and Express AT2.

If you missed the successfully, enjoy this video proposed from our Event: The rocket carried two communications satellites into orbit. 
AT1 satellite will be positioned at 56 degrees East with 32 Ku-Band transponders to cover Russia. In an other hand, the AT2 satellite will be positioned at 140 degrees.

Progress M-22M docks with ISS 6 hours after its launch

Dear followers,


last Wednesday, February 5, the Progress M-22M spacecraft was launched by a Soyuz-U rocket from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 4:23pm UTC. The Russian Progress M-22M, has successfully docked to ISS just 6 hours after launching from Baikonur. 
The space launch happened Less than 24 hours since its Progress M-20M cargo craft undocked from the International Space Station (ISS), following six months in residence.

The craft is full of cargo and supplies for the 6 membered Expedition 38 crew. Docking occurred at 22:22 UTC. With around 750 flights, the Soyuz-U is the most-flown orbital launch system ever developed.

Successful landing of Soyuz with the expedition 37 crew

Dear followers,


Last week, the Soyuz took-off with success from Baikonur, Kazakhstan with three astronauts and the Olympic torch. This Monday, November 11th, the Soyuz spacecraft has performed its reentry in the atmosphere and it landed in Kazakhstand. The Russian spacecraft brought the member of the expedition 37 crew members, the Russian cosmonaut Fyodor Yurchikhin, the European astronaut +Luca Parmitano and the American astronaut Karen Nyberg.

Successful take-off of Soyuz from Baikonur [with video]

Dear followers,


yesterday, the Soyuz was ready on the pad for its launch. This morning the Russian spacecraft took-off with success from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Actually, the Russian space agency, Roscosmos successfully launched the Soyuz spacecraft TMA-11M bound for the International Space Station. The crew comprises the Japanese Koichi Wakata, the American +Rick Mastracchio and the Russian Mikhail Tyurin. The trio are carrying a replica of the Olympic torch for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games that are set to take place in Sotchi, Russia.
"It's just an outstanding day and a spectacular launch" said William Gerstenmaier, the NASA's associate administrator for human exploration and operation.

[Update] Video of the new launch from Baikonur for a Proton-M rocket

Dear follower,

few days ago, the Soyuz rocket has been launch from Baikonur to the International Space station. Today an other rocket will lift-off from the same place in Kazakhstan.  This commercial launch will be the 81st Proton mission since the first commercial flight in April 1996. The rocket will carry on the 22nd SES commercial satellite and the 16th Astrium built satellite launched on Proton.

Docking to ISS and welcome onboard to Soyuz crew !

Dear follower,

after the successful of lift-off of the Soyuz rocket from Baikonur in Kazacktsan yesterday night, the docking was performed with success and the three member of the crew in now on-board.
You can watch the docking and the hatch opening to the International Space Station on the following video:



It's good to know them safe and on-board ISS, while the sensor trouble revealed in our previous post. Enjoy this video! It's just awesome !!!

Soyuz takeoff in few hours, the crew is ready: Video !

Dear followers,

we said you yesterday that the preps have start for the final launch of the Soyuz to the International Space Station.



+NASA has proposed to us the video of the crew preps with the Commander Fyodor Yurchikhin of the Russian space agency, Karen Nyberg from +NASA and +Luca Parmitano from +European Space Agency, ESA . 
The spacecraft will takeoff from Baikonur, Kazakhstan around 10:00 pm GMT. This post will be updated with the live streaming of the takeoff, so stay tune.

Volare mission to ISS

Dear follower,

next week, we said you that the incoming month will be strongly busy by many launch and docking on ISS. Today, the processes of launch of  the Soyuz rocket to the International Space Station have started from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan as shown in the picture. The expedition 36/37 Soyuz will bring the Commander Fyodor Yurchikhin of the Russian Federal Space Agency, the flight Engineers +Luca Parmitano of the +European Space Agency, ESA , and Karen Nyberg of +NASA .

The three cosmonauts, Yurchikhin, Nyberg, and, Parmitano, will remain aboard the station until mid-November and eat great food in the space station ! ;)

The crew of expedition 35 to ISS is back on Earth

Dear followers,

the Canadian astronaut +Chris Hadfield, commander of the just-completed Expedition 35 aboard the International Space Station, landed safely few hours ago in Kazakhstan along with the other crew members Tom Marshburn and Roman Romanenko after five months in orbit.

On aboard the ISS, Commander +Chris Hadfield took hundreds of photographs. Moreover he conducted conferences with students on Earth thanks to Hangout on +Google+ , he took his stories to social media, catching the attention of the world. 
His videos answered questions about everyday existence in zero-gravity with a dose of science mixed with humor.

Proton rocket is taking-off in few minutes

Progress 51 cargo spacecraft is docking soon: watch it in live !


The Progress 51 cargo spacecraft is going to dock to the International Space Station. The automated approach and docking is planned at 8:26 a.m. EDT. 


2 days ago a problem happened during the antenna deployment after the resupply craft launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan April 24.
